Description
The Latch Lake Bar is based on the Sol-Hoopii-type Hawaiian steel bar, the standard of excellence for lap steel since the 1920's. It's made from a select stainless steel alloy that is difficult to machine, but provides a super-hard silent surface. The tip features a precisely rounded "bullet" end facilitates perfect pitch on minor, augmented and diminished half-slants. It's opposing end features a cupped end that fits the inside index finger knuckle for maximum control of slant movement and intonation.

Sol Hoopii Tone Bar
This is a faithful reproduction of a Sol Hoopii tone bar, I know this because I own a real one and Ive also had one made. you cant get a better tone bar for lap steel

Other than being a smidge longer, this tone bar is identical to my vintage Sol Hoopii tonebar. Fast and beefy for those quick melodic runs in the heat of performance.
